My first show garden in Moscow at the ‘Festival of Gardens and People’.
The garden was inspired by Kasimir Malevich’s ‘Black Square Painting’ which represented a new language of art; abandoning reality in favour of the simplicity of shapes and colour.
The pavilion in our garden acted as a time machine, transporting people back in time from an adult’s view of the world symbolised by a burnt forest to the unfiltered, optimistic child’s perspective symbolised by a rejuvenated landscape of tree saplings and meadows.
Awarded a Gold medal and the ‘Grand Prix’ for Best in show.
